The Cappella Sansevero (also known as the Capella Sansevero de’ Sangri or Pietatella) is a chapel north of the church of San Domenico Maggiore, in the historic center of Naples, Italy. The chapel is more properly named the Chapel of Santa Maria della Pietà, or the Pietatella. It contains works of art by some of the leading Italian artists of the 18th century.
Well this is pretty creepy. I wasn’t aware until now that St. Louis Cathedral is built on a bishop burial ground.

WHAT
Thats a fairly normal thing in Catholic churches. It’s an honor to be buried in the church. Most churches of a certain age likely have a few bodies under the floor. I was in one of the closed churches in NOLA on a class trip and we got to see a trapdoor under the altar that lead to a crypt for the clergy.
